I was fortunate to co-chair Harvard’s 2019 SocialxDesign Conference and to help organize the 2018 InfluencexDesign Conference. This annual 500-attendee conference is a cross-disciplinary celebration of design across sectors and scales.
xDesign is a collaborative organization among groups at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the Harvard Business School, Harvard College, and other organizations from across the Harvard community. It aims to leverage expertise within the University by bringing together creative thinkers, design luminaries, professors, experts from various backgrounds, and students to engage, debate, and reinterpret the design process. By promoting a culture of collaboration, we strive to address contemporary global problems with cross-disciplinary thought and empower students to operate in areas beyond the traditional boundaries of architecture and design.
We have brought speakers who are business leaders, designers, technologists, researchers, authors, community organizers, poets, and founders representing organizations including Airbnb, The Obama Foundation, IDEO, Reformation, AARP, Wikimedia, Automattic, Wolff Ollins, IKEA SPACE10, Equinox, BEworks, WeWork Research, McKinsey Digital, Boston City Government, and many more!
